"Manchester Airport is currently embarking on a £1bn transformation programme that will add capacity for an extra 20 million passengers a year. Execs have now also committed to overhauling the airport’s IT. A tender published last week revealed the airport, the biggest outside London, has created a £19m framework for the provision of its IT services. Firms have until 27 July to apply."[...]

"In December, Capita IT Services won a £30m contract to manage the provision of new IT to more than 30 schools in the Ormiston Academies Trust, a new notice reveals. The deal was struck shortly before its parent company, Capita, issued a profit warning in January. Oliver Dowden, Cabinet Office minister, told the House of Commons in April that Capita had not won a single central government contract since the warning was issued."
