Prisons seek high-tech help to foil smuggling by drone

“The government is offering technology companies a £7 million contract to stop drones smuggling contraband into prisons.

The tender for “drone detection services to HM Prison and Probation Service” is the biggest to date relating primarily to civilian drones, according to Tussell, the data provider. The Ministry of Defence is still the largest buyer of drone-related services overall.”
