Grenfell Tragedy Prompts 56% Increase In Tenders For Fire Safety

“In the year since the Grenfell Tower fire (14th June 2017), there has been a surge in tenders for fire safety work, according to data.

Tussell, which is the data source on UK government contracts, found that 221 fire safety tenders have been published – a 56 per cent increase on the previous 12 months.

Local government has largely driven this increase, it says. In the past 12 months, 60 local government buyers have published a total of 98 fire safety tenders.”
